The problem
A booking system is easy until two people buy the last ticket at the same moment. The interesting part is the seam between the interface and the backend that has to say no to one of them.
How it was built

Split the repository into a TypeScript and React frontend and a Java service layer, communicating over REST.

Kept event administration and public browsing in one deployment with role-separated routes.

Modelled bookings server-side so availability is decided by the backend, not by the interface.

Built a clean, minimal UI over the booking flow — discovery, selection, confirmation.
